How to apply for a secondary school place
When you can apply
Applications for secondary school places for September 2018 can be made from 12 September 2017. The closing date for the first round of applications will be 31 October 2017.
Who you apply to
Applications for a secondary school place must be made to the local authority in which you live, regardless of where the school you wish to apply for is located.
If you do not currently live in Cambridgeshire but apply directly to us instead of your home local authority, we will be unable to process your application. We will make every effort to forward any such application to the home local authority, but we cannot guarantee that they will process it.
Apply online
Below is the link to the Citizen Portal, where you can submit, view and make amendments to your online application. Once offers have been made on 1 March 2018, you will also be able to view them on the Portal.
