Look what we've been learning!
The air raid siren is sounding...for this term we are travelling back in time to the 1930s as war is declared in Europe!
A woman from the charity, Action Aid gave us a fantastic talk about life in an Indian village called Chembakoli.
A bit of Bollywood Bangra dancing.....Meldreth style! January 2018
What a fantastic time we had, finding out about Ancient Egypt at the Fitzwilliam Museum!
We have started 'Buddy Reading' with the children in Jay class!
Here we are making mod-roc bases for our Egyptian masks!
In March we made a fascinating and inspiring visit to the BAPS Shri Swaminaryan Hindu Mandir in London.
World Book Day 2018!
On the first day of term after Christmas we took a 'flight' to Mumbai to start our topic on India!
On November 16th, we wore our 'jimmies' for Children in Need Day!
The Life Education Bus came to Meldreth! We all went on board (in our Year groups) to discuss ways of keeping our minds and bodies safe and well.....with a little bit of help from a giraffe called Harold!!
Here we are getting to grips with forcemeters. Remember a mass of 1kg has a pulling force of 10N!
While we were finding out about air resistance, we made paper aeroplanes to see who could make the most aero dynamic one. However it was another force (the WIND!) that took hold of Mason's plane and pushed it into the winning position!
