Computing is the subject title that now covers the teaching and learning of specific computer skills, with an increased focus on computer programming. Our new computing scheme includes new and exciting opportunities to
become anything from “Game Testers” in Swallow class to “Game Developers” in Woodpecker class. We have also planned opportunities to develop our computing skills in areas such as music, art, interface design, marketing and much more!

Our laptop trolley is a regular feature in all of our classes, being used to develop specific computer skills and to support learning across the curriculum. Our sets of iPads are being enjoyed by the children, especially in Robin class,  and new apps to support learning are being discovered and explored all the time. Work produced using the iPad has includes multimedia presentations, research work, video and photo editing, animation and art work.

E-safety is an important part of our Coomputing and PSHE curriculum. We are learning how to be safe online and we all have access to Starz where we can  send safe emails and learn to blog and organise our diary online! All year groups are now taught a unit on E-Safety.
