Look what we've been learning!

Welcome to Year 6!
This half term we are learning about Roman Britain as our main topic. It's a busy half term, as we are very excited for our trip to The Isle of Wight, move up days to all our different secondary schools and preparing for the end-of-year play! We also have our trip to Verulanium coming up and our leavers assembly!
In science we are learning about evolution and adaptation. In maths we are developing our problem-solving skills through a range of exciting and fun lessons.
Hawk Class performed brilliantly in the cross country at Milton Country Park, with the boys taking 2nd, 3rd and 4th place! Certificates were also presented for 'the spirit of the games' - great work everyone!
Well done for doing so well in the Quadkids Athletics Competition!
Year 6 re-enacting 'Theseus and the Minotaur'
Earlier this year:
Year 6 tried very hard with their biscuit Stonehenges...to varying degrees of success as it was unfortunately not quite the right type of biscuit!
Year 6 had a fantastic time visiting The Institute of Astronomy thanks to Dr Bothwell, an extremely informative and interesting astronomer who took time out of his busy schedule to teach us all about the universe. We learned many fascinating facts, saw the Institute's very own telescope and even held extraordinarily old space rocks! Thank you to the parent helpers who assisted - your support is invaluable to our class.
