Manager's Blog 11th March

Another fun filled week has flown by at Preschool and we have been thoroughly enjoying the brighter weather this week. The children have been continuing their learning about different vehicles. This has included making vehicles from different shapes, making parts of vehicles with play dough, cleaning the transport from the foamy tray and making trains and aeroplanes using the large outdoor blocks and chairs. The children have also been making different works of art using paint sticks, stickers, pens and sequins. They have made paper aeroplanes to see how far they could fly and enjoying practicing their fine motor skills by threading strips of paper through paper plates.

Next week we start our new learning focus all about 'Flowers'. We have some fun science experiments ready for the week as well as many flower themed fun activities too.

Next week will will also be celebrating St, Patricks Day on Thursday 17th, making shamrock wands and green collages.

On Friday 18th we will be supporting Red Nose Day and we invite the children to wear something red on the day, and of course wear your red noses! We have some fun red themed activities plan to enjoy.

Attached is a poster  with details of the family event at the mobile library on Monday 14th. If you would like to attend, you will need to book a space via the link on the poster. Preschool will be attending their visit slightly earlier. Children are welcome to bring in a teddy bear on Monday for the day.

Reminders:

Sadly, Covid is still among us and we ask that you remain vigilant if your child shows any symptoms: new or continuous cough, fever, change to taste/smell.

We also have a lot of other colds and coughs going around and ask that children remain at home if they are unwell to try and minimise the spread of these common viruses.
