Manager's Blog 15th Dec

Well that was a very busy week indeed! We have had so much festive fun and the children have had a brilliant week! All the children have been doing lots of Christmas crafting, Christmas dancing and singing their Christmas songs! We had a treat on Tuesday as we enjoyed a little wiggles dance session. This was a Christmas themed dance class and the children acted out being snowflakes, Christmas trees and snowmen! We have all explored different sensory activities such as sparkly soft play dough, wintery themed tuff trays, glittery sand and arctic snowy scenes in the trays. We made stick men and decorated bags and crowns. We have been outside as much as possible although the weather was very wet and cold so we also did some yoga and zumba indoors too. We have played posting games, attention games and sung lots of songs!

We ended our week with the children's Christmas carols on Friday and I am sure you will agree that all of the children were fantastic! It was lots of fun and I could really tell that all the children had been practicing their songs and actions. Thank you to all who were able to make it in and enjoyed a festive mince pie afterwards! If you couldn't make it, we have uploaded pictures on Tapestry.

Next week will be our last for the year, with our final day being Wednesday. We have some fun, relaxed activities planned as well as our movie day on Monday. Remember to bring children in their pyjamas on Monday.

We will return in the new year on Thursday 4th January as usual and we start our new learning topic of 'Around the world'. We will also be celebrating New Year, then will find out more about beautiful, cold Nordic countries and then lovely warm countries of Australia and New Zealand.
