We have had such a fun week at Preschool, we hope you have enjoyed seeing all the photo's on Tapestry. This week we started our learning focus on 'Summer Fun!' and we have had a great time continuing to explore the sandy seaside tuff tray, talking about where we have been on holiday and naming all the different seaside creatures. We have making lots of summery pictures at the art table and had a summer themed playdough table too.
On Wednesday we had our Hawaiian Luau and the children (and staff) loved it! We did or own game of limbo and a coconut shy. We also did some hawaiian dancing and listened to traditional music. The children all make a special headband and took home a hawaiian garland, called a Lei.
Next week, we will be making maps, explore measuring in the water tray, practice threading different shapes and learn summer songs. On Tuesday we have our Little Wiggles dance session and on Friday we will celebrate world chocolate day!
On Wednesday, we would like to invite the children to bring in a swim bag with a towel and swimming clothing as we are having the first of our splash days! We will have lots of water play outside and a paddling pool to keep us cool! Please ensure everything is clearly labelled.
On Thursday, we would like to invite the children to bring in a Teddy as we will have a teddy bears picnic. The bears will join us for a picnic snack in the garden. Please make sure the teddy has your child's name on them.
Reminders and dates:
- Please continue to apply sun cream before coming to preschool and provide a sun hat that is labelled.
- We appreciate everyone ensuring they arrive on time for collection throughout the day, it really helps with our preschool routine and responsibilities when closing.
