This week's round up - 26th November

The children have had a very festive week as we transformed our room in a winter wonderland this week with lots of crafts making snowflakes, candles, stockings, icicles, Christmas tree decorations and changing our playhouse into a gingerbread house. Our theme for decoration day was winter tales and we chose the story Ten Little Lights which can be found here on Twinkl. We also decorated out Christmas tree and enjoyed lots of Christmas singing.

Please do pop along to Meldreth church this weekend to have a look at Preschool's Christmas tree as well as lots of other trees decorated by the local community.

Next week and for the following few weeks we will continue to enjoy festive themed activities as we look at family traditions and enjoy some more winter and Christmas themed art and messy play.

The weather has taken a turn for the colder so we ask that the children have a warm coat, hat and gloves and that these are clearly labelled. We do go out everyday in most weathers and we also have to keep the room well ventilated so some warm layers for the children will help to keep them cosy inside.

The increase in COVID cases continues so again we ask you to be vigilant and take your child or self for a PCR test if you show the following symptoms:

  • New or continuous cough
  • Fever
  • Loss of or change in taste or smell
