Manager's Blog 19th Jan

We have had a lovely week at Preschool albeit a very chilly week! Even though we have been learning about hot countries this week, we have had great fun exploring the icy conditions in the gardens too.

Caterpillars have been busy doing topic activities this week including, exploring the velcro travel board, packing suitcases for hot and cold weathers and learning about different animals. Other activities in the week have included sorting bugs, playing guessing games, sensory play, shape sorters, dinosaur play, gingerbread man story box and lots of garden play.

The Butterflies have learned all about Australia this week. The children have decorated Australian flags, made boomerangs, created aboriginal art work and did Australian animal colouring. Group time activities have included making different faces to represent emotions, creating a drawing of Earth, counting rhymes and exploring colour changing. Butterflies also had a new friend introduced this week called Travelling Ted. He will go home with someone each week to spend time with you at home. If you are able to add photos/pictures or descriptions of your time with Ted, that would be great.
