Our PTA Members
All parents, carers and teachers are automatically members of the Association. The committee is made up of volunteer parents, teacher representatives and the Headteacher The PTA is always open to new ideas for fundraising and is very grateful to the many parent volunteers who give their time to help make events so successful.
We always need members to volunteer their time and skills at our events, so if you are interested, please contact us or come to the next PTA meeting.
I’m Sue Trory, PTA Chair. I moved to Meldreth with my husband and two boys in July 2017 and in September 2017 became chair after limited but enthusiastic experience with the PTA at our boys previous school in Hampshire. Being in the PTA has helped all the family feel part of the school and the wider village community. It’s also been great fun! The rest of the PTA have been hugely supportive as I learn the Meldreth ropes and attempt to juggle full time work and ‘doing my bit’. The boys are happy and settled at school and being an active part of the PTA has definitely contributed to that.
Hi, I’m Sam Turner and mum to two children at Meldreth. I joined the PTA in Sept 2014 as my eldest began her journey in Robin Class. I was keen to support the school, and perhaps more selfishly, wanted to be a part of that journey too! Being a member of the PTA has enabled me to realise this sense of partnership. From Sept 2015- Sept 2017, I took the role as Chair of the PTA leading the committee in our fundraising endeavours. I am still an active member of the committee, as being able to support the school and each and every child in it is extremely rewarding.
Hi, I'm Becky ad I have two children. I joined the PTA in September 2017 when my eldest started at the school and it's been a really worthwhile experience. Being able to contribute to the school community whilst having fun and making new friends is ideal and helps to build the link between home and school. I enjoy helping to plan and run fundraising events and its rewarding to know the money raised is spent enriching the curriculum for our children.
I am Sarah, PTA Secretary. I joined the PTA in September 2017 and immediately took on the role of Secretary. I have two daughters who attend Meldreth Primary School, and I was keen to help the school where I can. I enjoy working with the committee to help plan and organise fun events for the children, parents and wider community to enjoy, whilst raising vital funds to support the school.
I'm Laura and I joined the PTA when my eldest daughter started school in 2017. We'd moved to the village a couple of years earlier.
Being part of the PTA has been a great way to become more involved with school life, meet people and help organise events that raise money for valuable school resources.
This year is my fourth year as the Headteacher of Meldreth Primary School. I work closely with the PTA and support all their efforts. As a school we appreciate all the additional enrichment activities that PTA organises for our pupils. It’s very easy to work with members of our PTA, as we have the same vision for our school. We are like a family at Meldreth and work tirelessly for all our children.
This is my fifth year as a class teacher at Meldreth Primary and my second year as a member of the PTA.
As class teachers we appreciate all the additional enrichment activities that the PTA organises for our pupils and the additional resources and experiences we are able to provide due to PTA donations.
