Parent Evening Booking Explained

30th October 2018

As a school, we subscribe to an online service called Starz+ and give you and your child access through their own individual username and password.  Starz+ is an online ‘Learning Platform’ accessed from the log in button at the top right hand corner  our school website.  It provides links to child friendly websites, messaging, chat, blogs and other content  to support the computing themes which children will study in school.

It is essential that we provide pupils with the opportunity to practise the skills needed to stay safe online whilst operating under appropriate levels of supervision and guidance.  Think of Starz+ in terms of a ‘safe playground’, where children are able to make mistakes while they learn about safe online behaviours under the watchful eye of responsible adults at home and at school, before they move onto ‘the busy road’ of other widely used social media sites.

Starz+ has several ‘built in’ features designed to keep pupils safe.  For example, children are only able to communicate with other children from Meldreth Primary School.

You can access the parents section of Starz+ through our website home page. This will enable you to see your child’s learning environment, attendance and book parents evening slots with us.

You will be able to change your password by clicking on the cog icon in the top right of the screen once you login.  Please remember that if you do forget your login details in the future you will have to contact the school to have this reset.

A video guide with full details can be found below. Please let us know if you need any further support and please continue to check our website regularly for newsletters, club updates and new photos etc.
