Viking Day

1st December 2016

There were reports in school on Thursday that all the children in Swallow, Chaffinch and Woodpecker classes had been replaced by Viking warriors and maids. Luckily for us it was only a celebration of their learning this term. The children looked superb dressed for work or battle.  They took part in  were lots of exciting activities throughout the day, cooking, amulet making, soap carving, hammering and sewing leather bags  and a trail on the field. A viking longship has since  appeared in school, have you spotted it?

The day was rounded off  with a camp fire Viking saga, Meldreth style.
