1st June 2024
In June/July each year, children in Year 6 at Meldreth Primary get the chance to spend a week (Monday to Friday) on the Isle of Wight. The children stay in accomodation which offers rooms for groups of pupils and excellent all inclusive catering.
Over the week, the children get to take part in a whole range of activities.
There are costal walks with spectacular views and visits to Alum Bay (Needles) and free-time on the beach to explore the geography of the island. The children try their hand at rock-pooling and are amazed at what they catch! There are educational visits to the the Dino Isle dinosaur museum with a fossil hunt on Sandown Beach.
Towards the end of the visit, the children round off their action-packed week with a day at Robin Hill Adventure Park, having a go on the Colossus Boat Ride, visiting the 4D cinema, trying out the Hill Billy slides, taking in birds of prey shows and much more!
Truly making memories to last a lifetime!
