Esio Trot review

Esio Trot

Roald Dahl

Illustrations by Quentin Blake

Mr Hoppy really loves his neighbour Mrs Silver, and Mrs Silver really loves her tortoise, Alfie. One day Mrs Silver asks Mr Hoppy how to make Alfie grow, and suddenly Mr Hoppy knows the way to win her heart. With the help of a magical spell and some cabbage leaves, can Mr Hoppy be happy at last?

I would rate this book 5+ because people younger might not know some of the words in it. I’m not saying people younger can’t read it, I’m just saying it will be harder to understand.

I like the book because it keeps you wanting more and has amazing illustrations. I also think this is a great book because Roald Dahl didn’t keep using the same words over and over again.

I think the genre of this book is you should always help a friend in need and if you do you will get something in return.
