Parents Page (Hawk)

Miss McGinty is the class teachers supported by Mrs Lee and Mrs Taylor. Mrs Hole teaches the class on Monday afternoons.

We have lots of fun-packed learning to get through this year and we would like to thank you for all the support you give your child at home with their reading, learning times tables and completing maths homework.

PE Days - Tuesdays & Thursdays
Please come into school in your PE kits on those days. Sometimes the timetable may be subject to change depending on weather and other activities going on in the school week. We will try to notify you of changes in time.

Home Learning
Each week, children are expected to practise spellings.  Tese are set on Fridays and should be practiced every day ahead of the test on Fridays.

Each week on Mondays we set homework on SATs Companion. The children are set spellings on Mondays, these should be practiced every day ready for the following week, when they will be tested.

LOVE READING! See if you can persuade someone to read to you every night at bedtime, too. (It's like a magic trick that sets your imagination on fire!) To work on your comprehension, try getting someone to ask you questions from comprehension bookmarks below. You can work your way up to more challenging questions.  Here is a link to some great book suggestions.

Reading should be logged on BoomReader at least 3 times a week. This could be by parents or by the child themselves.

Regular attendance at school is vital for your child’s education.

If your child is absent from school for any reason school needs to know. Please telephone the school by 9.30 a.m. on the first day of absence. We need to know the reason (as schools are required to distinguish between authorised and unauthorised absence of pupils) and how long your child is likely to be off. Please ask your Doctor for advice regarding how long your child should be kept off school.

If medicine is prescribed, arrangements can only be made for the administration in school if the dosage is x4 daily. Parents are asked to complete a request form and all medicines must be handed to the school office in the original packaging, clearly labelled with date, contents, pupil’s name and dosage.
