It is our aim that pupils should enjoy learning, experience success and realise their full potential. Our Attendance Policy reflects this and recognises that regular attendance has a positive effect on the motivation and attainment of pupils. Any absence affects the pattern of a child’s schooling and regular absence may seriously affect their learning. The Department for Education (DfE) defines a pupil as a ‘persistent absentee’ when they miss 10% or more schooling across the school year, for whatever reason
Safeguarding Policies
Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy statement outlines what our school will do to keep children safe. It sets out the more detailed policies and procedures which we have in place to keep children safe and respond to child protection concerns.

Our and Special Educational Need and Disability Policy outlines the practice at our school to meet the requirements as set out in the SEND Code of Practice, the Equality Act 2010 and Part 3 of the Children and Families Act 2014.

Our Complaints Policy  ensures that all concerns raised and complaints are handled fairly, consistently and wherever possible resolved to the complainant's satisfaction.
Our school is committed to complying with and implementing the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act (2000) and related legislation. This provides a general entitlement to any person to be able to access information held by school, subject to exemptions and conditions laid down by law.

Equality Policies
Our Positive Behaviour policy sets out how we promote good behaviour, self-discipline and respect and how we prevent bullying. Our Relationships Education policy defines the sex education we teach other than that covered in the science curriculum.
At our school equality is about ensuring individuals are treated fairly and equally, no matter their race, gender, age, disability, religion or sexual orientation. Our policies outlines how we promote equality and diversity and why this is essential for both teachers and students.
Our Accessibility Plan shows how school leaders will improve school access for pupils/students, staff and visitors with disabilities.
We recognise the value of providing a wide range of experiences to enrich and extend pupils’ learning and to contribute towards their personal development. Our Charging and Remissions Policy lays out the processes in place for charging and remissions, the types of activity that can be charged for and when charges will be made.
