At Meldreth Primary School, we recognise the importance of PE and physical activity in supporting children’s health, wellbeing, confidence and learning. All pupils receive at least two hours of PE each week, alongside opportunities to take part in clubs, competitions and sporting activities within school and the wider community.
Our PE and Sport Premium funding enables us to enhance our provision through specialist sports expertise, staff development, competitions, equipment and wider sporting opportunities.
Our Vision
We aim for every child to leave primary school with the knowledge, skills, confidence and motivation to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle and participate in physical activity throughout their lives.

Our Partnership
We work with the South Cambs Schools Sports Partnership, which provides staff development and PE leadership support, opportunities to participate in cluster competitions and festivals, top-up swimming for pupils in Years 5 and 6, and Bikeability for pupils in Years 4 and 6.
