Pre-school fees

We work hard to keep our fees as low as possible to make sure our early years education is accessible to all.

Session fees are currently:

3 & 4 year olds

  • Morning session £15 (8.45-11.45)
  • Lunch Club only £2 (11.45-12.15)
  • Afternoon session £15 (12.15-3.15)
2 year olds (including all snacks and nappies)
  • Morning session £18 (8.45-11.45)
  • Lunch Club only £2 (11.45-12.15)
  • Afternoon session £18 (12.15-3.15)
We also offer the option of a school provided packed lunch or hot dinner for £2.00 per child per day. Menus are available below.
  • School provided packed lunch or hot meal for an additional £2
Families who register with us are given a 'My Child at School' (MCAS) account for online payment and booking.  Please note that meals cannot be paid for using Childcare Vouchers
Please note that we do accept Childcare Vouchers and we often require a half-terms notice if you wish to change the number of sessions your child attends.
Fees continue to be payable if a child is absent. Charges are made for late collection of £5.00 for the first 5 minutes and £10.00 per 15 minutes thereafter.

We require all 2 year olds to attend a minimum of two AM or PM sessions each week and all 3 and 4 year olds to attend a minimum of three AM or PM sessions each week.

This helps children to settle into Preschool, build secure relationships with their key worker and the staff team, and to feel more integrated into the group. This will also help their key worker to gain a more accurate understanding of the children’s development.

Government funding

All 3 and 4 year old children are entitled to claim a free part-time early years place from the start of the term following their third birthday. Through the Government and Cambridgeshire County Council, 15 hours per week of funding is available for 38 weeks of the year and can be split between our Preschool and another early years provider.

An “additional” 15 hours funding is now available to eligible families. For further details, including information on the eligibility criteria, please visit

Some 2 year old children may be entitled to claim a 15 hours funded place subject to certain eligibility criteria, which must be authorised by Cambridgeshire County Council. Please click on the links below for further information.

Please be aware that our Preschool is open for 30 hours per week, however you can use your total funding allowance across a number of childcare settings, including childminders.

You may be eligible for 30 hours funded places for your 3 and 4 year old.

If you are working

You can usually get 30 hours free childcare if you (and your partner, if you have one) are:

  • in work
  • on sick leave or annual leave
  • on shared parental, maternity, paternity or adoption leave

If you are not currently working

You may still be eligible if your partner is working, and you get Incapacity Benefit, Severe Disablement Allowance, Carer’s Allowance or contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance.

You’ll need to expect to earn a certain amount over the next 3 months. This is at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week on average.
