Manager's Blog 24th Nov

I'm not sure where the week has gone but here we are on Friday again. Our new topic of 'Winter Wonderland' will now run until the end of term as we start to explore the season of Winter and all things Christmas!

This week in Butterflies, we have been getting a head start on some of the Christmas craft as we made our Christmas placemats, christmas bags and stockings. We have also decorated our outdoor playhouse and transformed it into a gingerbread house! Other activities and group times have included finding the matching sock, learning about brushing our teeth, counting songs and decorating gingerbread men.

The Caterpillars have had a busy week and have also started early with the Christmas craft making Christmas tree cracker decorations. They have also been learning about road safety for road safety day, painting patterns using the cars and had some brilliant jungle tuff trays.

Decoration day is on Thursday 30th November and we will be creating a magical winter wonderland in the rooms. On this day, children are welcome to wear a Christmas jumper. Attached are the plans for the day for both the Caterpillars and Butterflies.

Reminders:

  • If your child has been changed into preschool clothes, could you please ensure they are returned as we are starting to run low on clothing, especially trousers/leggings.
  • Our Christmas hamper for the raffle on Fridays Christmas event is looking a little bare! If you can make a donation we would really appreciate it. The colour is white but this can be anything wrapped in white paper. Thank you.
  • On Thursday (decoration day) we welcome you to bring in a filled tombola jar for the Christmas event. They can be filled with sweets, hair bands, small toys...anything really!
